Do Funko Pops Come with Stands?

One common question that keeps cropping up among the Funko collector community is: do Funko Pops come with stands?

The answer is no. Not all Funko Pops come with stands. In fact, only a small number of Pops actually include a stand within the original box. In most cases, these stands are for figures that have an oversized head, unusual proportions or are supposed to be jumping or flying. Even then, however, larger and more unstable Funko Pops still may not always include a stand, which suggests that there isn’t really a consistent practice from Funko for their figures .

What are Funko Pops Stands

A typical Funko Pop stand is pretty basic and comes in two varieties. The first is a small, clear plastic disk that contains pegs which connect with holes in the bottom of each figure. You simply press your Pop’s foot onto the peg and you’re good to go. Instant stability and support. The second type of stand is simply flat and has no pegs. These stands are designed to support Funkos without holes in their feet.

In addition, there are also more complex stands that attach to walls or other surfaces (essentially creating mini-shelves for your Pop), but the basic idea is to provide some support to keep your Pop upright. While the typical stand might not necessarily support every Funko on the market (particularly larger Pops or ones that are flying or jumping), they will work for the vast majority of Pops.

Where to Get Funko Pop Stands

The good news is that Funko does indeed offer separate stands for purchase. You can buy these directly from Funko, with a 10-pack of stands retailing for about $5 USD. Additionally, Amazon offers a wide range of Funko stands, including both individual stands and larger display options for multiple figures. If you poke around on other sites like Etsy, you can also find custom Funko stands and display options.

How to Fix a Broken Funko Pop Stand

If you have a unique Funko, particularly one mounted on one of the stands designed to simulate a character flying or jumping, it can be particularly annoying if it breaks. Getting replacements for these types of stands can be trickier, so your best bet may simply be to try to repair it.

One of the best ways to fix these types of broken Funko Pop stands is to use Gorilla Glue or an epoxy. Try to attach it to where the break occurred (using as little as possible) and let it dry for at least several days before attaching the figure again.

How to Get Funkos to Stay Up Without a Stand

In some cases you may want to display your Funko without the use of a stand. Or your Funko might be have issues with the way its head, feet or legs are balanced that prevents it from working with a typical base. One option is to simply use adhesive tape to keep your Pop in place (try to avoid using industrial tapes that may take paint with them or damage the Pop).

YouTube influencer Top Pops also offers a suggestion of using a combination of boiling water and ice water to reshape your Funko for better balance (although just bear in mind that there is the risk of severely damaging or warping your Pop – so use extreme caution and you’ll probably want to avoid doing this to more expensive Vaulted Pops).

Final Thoughts on Funko Stands

So there you have it, the answer to the age-old question: do Funko Pops come with a stand? And while it is frustrating that not every Funko comes with a stand, getting new ones or replacements is relatively cheap, with plenty of places to get them. There are also a ton of unique ways to display your Pop without the use of a stand, particularly if you’re patient and willing to use a little ingenuity. At the end of the day, stand or no stand, what matters most is that your Funko Pops are displayed in whatever way you think works best.
