Supervillains may come and go, but true love lasts forever. Case in point: the new Batman and Catwoman statue from Sideshow Collectibles. Recently unveiled to the public this unique diorama features DC’s ultimate power couple in repose and is currently available for pre-order.
Things between Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle have always had their ups and downs, with the two going from enemies to crime fighting partners, to eventually even tying the knot. The complicated relationship between the Bat and the Cat was also recently front and in center in The Batman film, with Robert Pattinson taking on the role of the caped crusader and Zoë Kravitz donning the guise of everyone’s favorite cat burglar.
So it makes sense that these two legendary love birds (or is that bats?) would be finally joined together in this new Sideshow Collectibles statue.
Of course, this isn’t the first time either superhero has appeared as a Sideshow figure. In fact, it’s hard to top this recent Catwoman Premium Format Figure or this jaw dropping Batman Premium Format Statue. That being said, nothing beats seeing the Bat and the Cat side-by-side looking out over the crime-drenched streets of Gotham City.
While the statue is currently only available for pre-order, based on what we’re seeing so far, it looks absolutely stunning. Standing at approximately 20” tall, based on a sculpt from longtime Sideshow artist Maria Panfilova and handpainted by Chie Izuma, the end result is an absolute masterpiece and the ultimate celebration of DC comic’s greatest power couple.
