When choosing the ultimate Batman statue, there’s no doubt there’s some serious contenders to choose from. This epic Batman Sanity statue from XM Studios, however, make just be the one Bat to rule them all.
Based on a concept from legendary DC artist David Finch, the Batman Sanity statue is a jaw-droppingly 1:6 scale diorama, making it both beautiful and also one of the largest pieces you’re likely to see.
Featuring a montage of the Dark Knight surrounded by his greatest foes and rendered in incredible detail, each Batman Sanity piece is molded from cold-cast porcelain and hand painted using two coats of museum-calibre finishing. The statue is also hard to come by and is limited to just 400 versions.
There’s also a black and white “smoke” version of the Batman Sanity statue, which is fully painted and includes more weathering and detailing work (there’s only a few hundred of these available – making them an even more sought after collectible).
Sharp eyed Bat fans may noticed that one critical Batman villain is missing: the Riddler. Apparently the designers added a small easter egg to the statue to call out Batman’s favorite question mark wearing nemesis, so take a closer look and see if you can spot it.
THE SPECS

THE COST
During its initial release, the Batman Sanity statue was running for around $2,300 USD, plus at least another $600 USD in shipping, which definitely puts them on the higher end for most collectors. Sadly, they’ve since been sold out, which means the only place you can probably find one today is in a LCS or speciality shop near you, or on eBay, where one will likely set you back around $4,000 to $5,000 USD. That’s a small price to pay though for having what is arguably the greatest Batman statue ever made.
