Hot Toys definitely has a soft spot when it comes to the God of Thunder. Over the years they’ve released a number of different Thor sixth-scale figures from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including a recent Thor: Love and Thunder figure based on the last big screen outing of everyone’s favorite Asgardian ass kicker.
Now, Hot Toys has yet unveiled yet another new sixth-scale figure from across the Rainbow Bridge in the form of their upcoming Valkyrie Thor: Love and Thunder figure.
If you haven’t seen Thor: Love and Thunder yet (minor spoilers ahead), in the film Valkyrie has been appointed by Thor as the King of the fledgling New Asgard colony on Earth. But when the intergalactic menace known as Gorr the God Butcher emerges, Valkyrie once again picks up her trusty Dragonfang sword and joins forces with both the classic Thor and the newly-minuted Jane Foster Thor, to defend her people.
This particular Hot Toys Valkyrie figure stands at 11.2″ inches tall and includes 26 points of articulation. It also features a newly developed head sculpt and body, complete with new custom armor and cape. In addition, the figure includes a range of new weapons and accessories, including her iconic Dragonfang sword, a pair of daggers and Zeus’ Thunderbolt (with effect). It also features Korg (or what’s left him), the hilarious granite-skinned alien who’s reduced to nothing more than a face after taking a lighting bolt to the body by Zeus (you can actually attach Korg’s face to the back of Valkyrie’s head, which is pretty damn amazing).
The figure is expected to be released sometime in late 2023 or early 2024, but if you’re eager to get your hands on it, you can pre-order it now from Sideshow Collectibles.

How is this different than the previous Hot Toys Valkyrie figure?
This isn’t the first time Hot Toys has paid tribute to the legendary winged warrior. In fact, in 2017 they released a Thor: Ragnarok Valkyrie figure, which beautifully captured the first appearance of the character (that particular figure has since been sold out). This newest version, however, isn’t just a rehash of the old Valkyrie figure. In fact both the head and body are new and the quality actually looks much better than the original 2017 release (with Hot Toys techniques and technology improving significantly over the past five years).

Final Thoughts
While we still have to wait a few months more before we can get our hands on this figure, if you’re a fan of Valkyrie (and Thor in general), this looks one sixth-scale addition that would be perfect for your collection. It is likely to sell out quickly though (especially with overseas orders) so if you’re really hoping to get one you can pre-order now from Sideshow Collectibles.
