These days it seems like you can’t chuck a batarang without hitting a new Hot Toys Batman figure (the most recent being The Deluxe Batman figure based on the 2022 Robert Pattison film, and a rerelease of the Christian Bale Dark Knight figure).
Now, Hot Toys has a new addition to the sixth-scale Bat fam in the form of their upcoming Batman tactical suit figure.
Technically, this is actually an update to a figure originally released back in 2018 to coincide with the theatrical version of the Justice League film. In the movie, the tactical Batsuit is created by Bruce Wayne as a way to provide some much-needed firepower when the League takes on an invading army of Parademons; flying instectoid aliens from the dark dimension known as Apokalips. The tactical suit is really an upgraded version of Batman’s standard costume in the film, and includes armored plating, extra weaponry and specialized goggles that provide heads up combat data. Whether or not you dug the original theatrical release or are a fan of the longer “Snyder Cut” released on HBO Max, you have to admit Bats did look pretty bad ass in the tactical suit.
This new soon-to-be-released (or is that rereleased?) Hot Toys Batman figure will stand at 12.9″ inches tall, include 30 points of articulation and feature a cowled head sculpt with interchangeable eye pieces and mouths based on Ben Affleck’s facial expressions. It also includes a series of interchangeable goggles, a specialized body with new textures and battle-damage, movie-accurate Batarangs, grapple guns and Bat gadgets, and a Parademon assault rifle (because, apparently interdimensional monsters are the once exception to Batman’s “don’t use guns” rule). As an added touch, the figure also comes with a new diorama base complete with painted lava and weathering details.
The figure is scheduled for release sometime between the end of 2023 and early 2024 and is available for pre-order from Sideshow Collectibles.

How is this different than other Hot Toys Batman figures?
As mentioned above, technically this isn’t a new figure and is really a rerelease/upgrade of an older figure from 2018. That being said, it does include a number of new accessories, costume pieces and weapons that weren’t available in the original Hot Toys Batman figure.
